How Is Facebook Working For Your Business?

Social media marketing seems to be all the craze right now. Internet marketers have been licking their chops to tap into the burgeoning market. Being able to narrow down criteria pertaining to age, city, sex, workplace, interests, religon etc. has made finding your target market that much easier. Facebook particularly has made this advertising process quite easy.
It seems that every week a new Realtor is advertising right on my profile page. Someone with a nice little picture telling me that they are available to help me purchase a home should I need to. How sweet. But being in the real estate industry I notice these things, in addition to advertising my business in those very same places as well.
My question is “Do you think Facebook is an effective way to advertise yor real estate business?”
The reason I ask is that there is a debate going on right now in numerous cirlces as to what conversion rates are using social networking sites for Realtors. I haven’t met very many Realtors who have obtained new clients through Facebook – though I could be wrong and I would like to know.
